This presentation covers some more interesting facts from the Bible book of Genesis, particularly regarding the character Joseph. He goes from being a slave and jailed by his master, to being the second in charge under Pharaoh of Egypt, and yet there remains no historical record of him in Egypt. Many other Egyptians of lesser status have been recorded. This talk covers two possibilities of why this happened. We also look some of the notable features of Abraham’s nephew, Lot.

Gems in Genesis Part 2
This presentation covers some more interesting facts from the book of Genesis. The relative motion of the sun, earth, and our galaxy show that the story of the sun standing still for Joshua is totally consistent with modern physics as the earth was Joshua’s “frame of reference”. We look at the violence of Noah’s world being replicated today, the battle of the Kings in Genesis 14, the old age of Abraham, and the “binding of Isaac”.
GEMS in GENESIS – Part 1
This presentation was designed for the youth group. It confronts such questions as: does the Bible say the earth is 6000 years old, does the Bible say that a group of people on a ziggurat suddenly started talking Fijian, Zulu, Spanish etc, did people actually live to 800 or 900 years old many years ago? So, we look at scientific evidence from 4.4 billion years ago, and see that it aligns with the Bible. What is the real story of Babel? Is there evidence of long-life spans before ‘the flood’. Who were the ‘sons of God’? Click YouTube link below
Connecting to God
This talk was designed for young people starting out in Christian life. The first section (0-18) looks at commitment to Jesus as Lord and Master, with some examples, and the remainder covers some topics which may confuse Christian young people. Topics such as..LGBTQI rights, climate change, nuclear war..etc. There is an error at 2.42. I refer to the promises to David and I meant the promises to Abraham.

1 Peter – A Letter to Suffering Christians
1 Peter : A letter to a suffering church. Have you ever wondered why Peter’s betrayal of Jesus was spelled out in such detail – in all 4 gospels, whereas none of the other disciples’ betrayals were. They all deserted Jesus (except the women) – but no details were recorded – just Peter’s. We study how this provided hope to the churches under great persecution.

The Atonement
We explore the basis of the representative and substitutional interpretation of the Atonement. This has split the church for millennia, and we here address the unity of these two interpretations, specifical for the small Christian sect, the ‘Christadelphians’.
Saved By Lot & His Girls
What do we recall of Lot from our Sunday school days? He greedily took the best land when he separated from Abraham. He was prepared to throw his daughters to a mob of sex crazed men. What does God say about him?
2 Peter 2:7-8 “And delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds)”.
How can we reconcile these two?

Prophets to the Gentiles – Nahum 2 & Obadiah
The book of Nahum was given to a non-existent nation. God had already allowed the Assyrians to carry Israel into captivity before this prophet was commissioned to tell Israel that they will be saved. Obadiah prophesied to Edom and the prophecy ends with an end time prophecy of Jesus’ return. God has always warned of impending judgement on sinners. Noah warned the antediluvial world, Lot warned Sodom, Melchizedek warned the Canaanites, and the prophets warned the Israelites. After Elijah, the prophets also warned the surrounding Gentile nations.
GPS Reset
We explore how God, subtly or directly, always provides a way to His kingdom. We are asked (1 Peter 2) to always walk in Jesus’ footsteps. If you walk in someone’s doorsteps, you will end up at the same destination. God’s kingdom. With every change of events in our life, whether self-inflicted or not, God will always provide a new path to His Kingdom.
Prophets to the Gentiles: Nahum
We explore why God commissioned His prophets with messages for the Gentiles. God has always warned of impending judgement on sinners. Noah warned the antediluvial world, Lot warned Sodom, Melchizedek warned the Canaanites, and the Jewish prophets warned the Israelites. After Elijah, the prophets also warned the surrounding Gentile nations.
